11 year old + pistol= 700 lbs of sausage
Friday, May 25th, 2007Yes, it’s amazing what an 11 year old in Alabama can do with a .50 caliber (!!) pistol. According to an Associated Press article, Jamison Stone of Pickensville AL killed a pig weighing in at nearly 1060 lbs. and measuring 9′ 4″ in length. When asked about his accomplishment, the boy replied “It’s a good accomplishment. I probably won’t ever kill anything else that big.”
When I was a kid, I posed in the local paper in my town with a live turkey that had come to visit my nursery school. I was wearing some sort of “pilgrim” outfit, as was my friend who posed next to me. I thought that was a big deal at the time. What a disappointment to find out that kids like Jamison were already killing deer at that age! I guess I’m a late bloomer.
