I’ve been away in Portland for a few days, and will be posting some photos of my trip soon. In the meantime, read about a fascinating series of home experiments used to determine why dinosaur fossils are always in such uncomfortable-looking poses. The woman featured in this article must have been really popular during the course of her experiment, as she kept rotting meat and dead birds around her house for weeks at a time.

In other news, the “Dinosaurs: A Creationist’s Fairy Tale” blog is reporting that the Giant Hog story is a fake! I didn’t see this update, but apparently NBC retracted the story. The giant hog lives only in Photoshop. The blog also makes a connection to Creationists who manipulate images of cave art to “prove” dinos and humans coexisted.
