Markasaurus Creative Writing Contest #2: The Fish Head on 2nd St.

I was walking out of the office to eat lunch today and spotted this fish head in the middle of a very busy intersection near my office in San Francisco. It was pristine, and looked like it had been forcibly ripped from the body to which it was once recently attached. Gulls were circling, but there was too much traffic for them to eat it. How did it get there?
